Creating a good design involves a strategic and creative process. Here’s a simplified overview of the design process:
1. Client Brief
– KYC. Understand the client’s business, values, and target audience. – Gather information on preferences, competitors, and unique selling points.
2. Research
– Investigate industry trends, competitors, and design styles. – Identify potential visual elements that can represent the brand effectively. – I check with the client on what style can be representative for the brand.
3. Concept Development
– Ideation: Brainstorm and sketch multiple concepts based on research. – I play crazy8. – Focusing on simplicity, versatility, and scalability of the design.
4. Drafting
– I use design softwares, Adobe Illustrator and Figma, to create digital versions of the selected sketches. – Exploring colorus, typography, and various visual elements.
5. Feedback and Iteration
– Present initial concepts to the client for feedback. – Revise and refine the chosen concept based on client input.
6. Refinement
– Fine-tune details, ensuring scalability and adaptability. – Evaluate the design effectiveness in various formats and mockups.
7. Presentation
– I showcase the final design in different contexts (mock-ups, business cards, print and digital mock-ups.). – I explain the design choices and how they align with the brand.
8. Approval
– Client approval for the final design. – I ensure that the design meets all the specified requirements.
9. Delivery
– I provide the client with the design files and all formats needs. – Include guidelines on design usage, such as color variations and minimum sizes.
